Born in Mexico City, Ana moved to the UK in 2005. She completed an M.B.A. at Edinburgh University with a speciality in Strategy and International Business, which paved the way to her professional career within the pharmaceutical industry.
She has worked at the local, regional and global level in multinational companies such as Abbvie, Merck, Lundbeck and Kyowa Kirin (former ProStrakan). Over the years, Ana has made a proven impact on the brands’ strategies, resulting in successful pharma product launches and business growth.
Ana is an amiable, resilient and self-motivated person, whose main drive is to excel on what she enjoys doing and continuously seek for challenges, a habit taught by her parents from a very young age. And now, as a wife and a mother, she is committed to strive the same positive impact on her own family.
This commitment has made Ana seek a different type of challenge after 14 years of working for pharmaceutical companies, by setting up a Pharma Insights Generation Consultancy.
And when she is not working, you might find Ana at a yoga-pilates class, or city cycling while heading to a local cafe to meet friends.
Based on her experience managing a vast number of analytics and pharma insights projects, Ana has been nominated twice as a key speaker at EphMRA Conferences and accepted as BHBIA future training facilitator.
